How to update Apple AirPods Firmware
After years of relative uncertainty, Apple has given us a glimpse, albeit somewhat vague, into the process of updating your Apple AirPods to their latest firmware versions. Follow the steps below and you pods will most likely get the update quickly and easily.
AirPod Firmware Update Process
Step 1: Insert your AirPods into their charging case and connect it to a power source.
Step 2: Keep the plugged-in charing case within Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad or Macbook that’s connected to Wifi.
Step 3: While keeping the AirPods case plugged in, and the lid closed, wait at least 30 minutes.
Step 4: Reconnect your AirPods to your Apple device by opening the lid of the charging case.
Step 5: Check the firmware version again to make sure the update was successful
